Saint Louis Rey was founded in 1940, perhaps as a homage to the homonymous Cuban city, or as a tribute to the novel "The Bridge of Saint Louis Rey" (equally famous for this reason are the Romeo y Julieta and Montecristo Cigars brand). The brand was immediately appreciated by experienced smokers because of the quality of their products.

Saint Louis Rey has a loyal international following despite being a brand that can only be found in certain countries. The limited reach of this brand has certainly not stopped a group of loyal fans enjoying the cigars regularly and this group is continuously growing as more and more people experience the flavour that comes from a Saint Luis Rey Havana cigar!
